Days Sixteen through Twenty

Wow, ok I have some catching up to do.  My computer finally decided to take my SD card so I could upload my photos.....and I promise I have been taking photos every.single.day.

Day Sixteen

This is an accessory for my Cottage bedroom collection.  I pulled anything I could find that was "cottage" even though I have no idea what the beds look like.....but I like the majority of the cottage things so I'll make it work!

Day Seventeen

Tuesday we went to eat at one of the restaurants in the hotel that I'm pretty sure still had some of the original fixtures in it from when the Golden Nugget first opened.  This light, for instance, is original I think.  I like the pom pom fringe!

Day Eighteen

Wednesday was Nicholl's birthday so she chose the sushi restaurant on the strip called "Ra".  Even though I don't like sushi, they had other food that was really good!  I loved these red lights that were all over the restaurant, but it kind of made reading your bill hard....which is what they want, probably!

Day Nineteen

Nineteen isn't very good because I didn't take any photos with my good camera....just my phone.

This was taken to show mama the retro clocks I had to hang all over the wall.  This is in one of my youth sections where we have to hang decals on our walls.  It can be pretty fun when you want mindless work, but I came in the next day & all these little declas (that took me the entire day to put up....I didn't leave this area for 10 hours one day) were peeling off the walls.  Aaaahhh!!!  So I have to rubber cement them back on the walls.  Sigh.

Day Twenty

I have two pictures for day twenty because I couldn't choose!

The first is the main sign for the building that we are in:  the "World Market Center".  This place is huge.  I hope to get some other pictures up on here of the rest of the building because I like all the materials they used.  The second is one that I was so excited to see the first time I came to Vegas!  It is a brain health center that is built by famous contemporary architect Frank Gehry & I have always wanted to see some of his work.  You can tell his work by one glance.  The style he uses is deconstuctivism & many of his buildings look like they are moving or swirling.  Very cool to actually see it up close & how he makes the facade look this way!  There was a photo shoot going on in front of the building for some magazine I think.

Hopefully today I'll get todays picture up, but we'll see!  We've been told it will be a long day here at the showroom!

Cheerio from Vegas!

  1. Wow...that is crazy cool and kinda ironic that it is a brain health building. Ha! For some reason, I can't comment on your other photos, but I like them all. Golden Nugget fixture gets a high mark. I like it. :)
