Day Fifty-Nine

On my walk with Balin after work.  So glad it's staying lighter just a liiiiitle bit longer when I get home!  Can't wait until summer!

Day Fifty-Eight

I love when Jeremy cooks dinner.  I don't have to think about it.  Rarely do I like hamburgers, but homemade burgers on the grill?  Yes, please.  So good!!

Days Fifty-Five through Fifty-Seven

This weekend was a girls weekend away.  We didn't go far, but it was still fun!

Car troubles.  Almost every.single.time.  This time it was Christy's van, Bessie.

So we doctored it up as best we could, took her to Melinda's house & she had a siesta for the weekend sitting on the curb.

We got Melinda's Tahoe & made it to the Melting Pot!  Yum YUM!

We put a hurtin' on that artichoke spinach dip!  We were starving by the time we got there after Bessie giving us a hard time, but Christy worked her magic & they held our reservation for us.  We were some hungry, tired women fo' sho'.

It was so very good & I would have loved to have dessert, but I was stuffed by the time we finished.  Probably because of all the spinach dip & bread....but it was so worth it.

Aaaaaaaaaand, that's where the photos stop.  I didn't take anymore this weekend.  Weird, but it was so nice to do nothing so I don't even feel bad!  I'll be on top of it this week, though.

Tonight was Hunko Bunko!  My hunko was my good luck charm because I won most bunkos!  I think I've only won that maybe twice, so I'm thinking I might take Jeremy every time I play.

We strolled through Barnes & Noble tonight & were commenting on how it's been so long since we've been in there that we don't know the new layout anymore.  And then I noticed the title of this genre:

Really?!  Apparently they don't just have a new layout anymore...that also have new genres.  I understand Teen Fantasy sections (there's some pretty good book that I still like from that section!), but Teen Paranormal Romance?!  Wow.  It's probably because of books like this:

And Twilight that they had to come up with a new name.  I don't plan on letting my teenage girl read books like this...it'll just make an already hormonal teen have unrealistic dreams about "romance" & get her all boy crazy!  Gaaaag.  No thank you.  But thank you to Barnes & Noble for entertaining us when we walked though this section!  Some of those books are so ridiculous you just have to laugh!

Day Fifty-One

In order for us not to get knocked over when we feed Balin, we make him sit & stay while we bring out his food.

Day Forty-Nine

I love cooking with rosemary.  I modified a recipe tonight that called for rosemary, sage, thyme & lemon with chicken....and I put the rosemary in the garlic mashed potatoes, too......and I was really temped to put it in the green beans too, but I stopped myself!

The smell is divine!

Not the healthiest of dinners, but it's Friday night right?!  We're allowed to cheat a little today!

I kid with Jeremy about all the cologne he has...but I can't complain because he's had some of these for a LONG time.  And any new cologne he has has been bought by me.

The blue bottle in the back is his "wedding day cologne" that he is NEVER allowed to run out of.  That smell will always be associated with our wedding day.

Had a jolly good spot of tea tonight, yes, cherrio!

I finally remembered (after 3 years) to order some Harney & Sons Paris Tea.  Yum YUM!!  And I used my tea pot & cup Mama got me for my birthday  :)  Isn't it pretty?

Day Thirty-Nine

On my lunch break today I got to meet Jeremy & Balin at the dog park just a few minutes from work.  We ate & watched Balin be a social butterfly (er, dog) to any new dog that passed by.  It was a very nice day for a picnic!

DayThirty-Eight

Tonight I got to spend some time with my best friend, Erica, & her boyfriend, Kevin.  We met up with some friends that are in town for our reunion (Dave & Jenn Barlar) & we went to "You Say When Yogurt".  So yum!!

I had strawberry & cake batter yogurt with choco chips & something else that looked like toffee.  Very good!!

Then we went to the park & rode "the bucket" & our yogurt almost made a reappearance  :)  Luckily everyone held it down.

They're starting to show a little wear & tear, but I still like them.  And I haven't found anything similar that I like to replace them!

Today was Balin's first trip to the dog park!
He loved riding in the back of the truck!
He loved meeting new doggies & playing with them!
But he mostly loved a pretty dog named Sophie.  He would not leave her alone & tried to jump her several times.

Sigh.

Good thing he's so cute!!

And he got to visit with Mimi & Papa, so he had a very good morning!
