Days Eighty-Seven & Eighty-Eight

Yesterday was the first day I actually forgot to post a photo.

Shame on me!!

I'm just glad I made it to day 87 before I forgot!  I'm pretty glad about that!  So I will be posting 2 photos today.

I don't know when I got this watering can or who gave it to me, but it is so cute & I use it everyday

My amaryllis plant that Jeremy gave me our first married Christmas

Day Eighty-Six

I took the day off to spend time with Erin, Logan & Lainey & we had lots of fun!  Here are just a few of the things we did:

Rode the carousel at the mall

Lainey practiced her shoe modeling career for me:

Ate lunch at Panera where Lainey was in distress over what to eat & Logan made smiley faces with his bread:

Got to visit Uncle Jeremy at the fire station & he took us on a ride around the block!

Visited with the silly cousins:

And watched the grown ups be silly on the old tire swing:

It was a GREAT day off work!!

Day Eighty-Five

Jeremy does this funny sound & Balin will cock his head all the way to the side every single time.  It's so cute!  His head isn't as far in this photo as it usually is...but he's still cute.

Day Eighty-Four

Planted some veggies & herbs this morning.  Green bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, basil & rosemary.  I hope they do well!  The basil & rosemary are from seeds & the peppers & tomatoes are transplants.

Good thing this isn't an expensive hobby...because last year I tried planting rosemary, like 4 times  :)

Day Eighty-Three

This makes me laugh.

He was soooo close!  At least he took out of the basket & got it closer to the holder, right?  So close.  Just one more step & it would have been done!  I really can't complain because he normally does it.  Maybe he was in a hurry or something, yes?  You have to laugh at these little things in a marriage or you'll go crazy I think!

Not the greatest of pictures, but I thought you would get a kick out of it, too!

Day Eighty-Two

Tonight was Amy's funeral.  It was such a good service & something I think Amy would have wanted.  She looked so good & actually looked like herself.  I think it will really hit me when Scott & the kids come back to church & sit on the row in front of us....without Amy.  Right now, every time I go to church & don't see them there, I just think they are on vacation.  It will be a very hard service.

My tattered tissue.

You are already missed so much by so many people, Amy!  I love this photo because of the events surrounding it  :)  And it is just a good picture of you, Amy!  Our girls weekends won't be the same without you!

Day Eighty

This photo is a little blurry, but I still like it.  When I walked Balin this evening I took some old bread with me because I knew we would be passing the pond with the ducks.  I think these ducks know the sound of bread packages because as soon as I started opening it, they all ran over!

Doesn't this duck look like it has warts all over its beak & around its eyes?  Ew!

Day Seventy-Nine

Today was a very sad day.

Sweet Amy left this earth & went to her home beyond.  Sometimes I think I have cried all the tears I can cry & then I will think of something else & the tears start again.  I am sad for Scott loosing his wife that he loved so much....it was so evident in they way he looked at her & talks about her.  I am sad for Zack & Olivia having to grow up without their mom cheering them on & drying their tears.  I am sad for her parents....parents should never have to bury a child.  Selfishly, I am sad for myself loosing a friend & realizing she will never come with us on our girls weekends again.

But she has no more pain.  Maybe God needed her for something bigger than we can understand right now.  It's still sad.

"No tears in heaven fair, No tears, No tears up there!  Sorrow and pain will all have flown.  No tears in heaven fair, No tears, No tears up there!  No tears in heaven will be known!"

Day Seventy-Eight

Well, we got it put together today!  After a year of piecing it together, I was excited to have the entertainment unit up & completing our wall.  I like it & can't wait to decorate it!

Oh yeah, you like the zombies in the last picture?  We were about to watch our first show (The Walking Dead) on the new unit!

Day Seventy-Seven

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

You would think I had a green picture to post today, yes?  No.

I went to visit Jeremy at the station today & he told me the river was dyed green in honor of St. Patrick's Day.  Yay!  Well, by the time I passed over the Hillsborough River the green was pretty much gone.  Sad news.  So I did something to amuse myself on the drive home since my picture for the day didn't happen.

I took pictures of downtown Tampa as I drove very slowly & safely through the city.  Some of these I actually like, considering I held the camera up & just snapped as I drove along!

Fun fact for you on this next one: The clock on the top of this building is "Hortense the Clock." Named after some big wig's daughter in the early years of Tampa.

Day Seventy-Six

We got the rest of the things we need to complete our entertainment center tonight!  Yippy!  We've been trying to get it done slowly, & now we're almost finished.

Hopefully it'll make the big wall that our tv is on look a little better!

Days Seventy-Four & Seventy-Five

So, last night I didn't post a picture but I promise I took one.  After getting home from the hospital at 2 a.m. & being emotionally drained, I didn't want to post anything.

So, here are 2 days worth.

I LOVE my warming drawer/mini oven.  See, we don't use a microwave here at the Queen household - we don't really care for all the yucky stuff that comes from it.  When we moved into our house we were so excited to see that our oven lacked the useless under-the-oven-storage-drawer.  (Stuff always gets stuck down there!)  Instead, there was a warming drawer/mini oven!  I use it all the time when Jeremy is at work because it uses less energy to heat that little space to cook something just for me.  These my not be the best pictures, but oh well!

Today's picture I probably wouldn't even have if it weren't for Christy seeing this while sitting at the hospital.  We were all a bit slap happy since not much sleep has been had worrying over Amy - but Christy looked at Jeremy sitting across the room & said Jeremy's ripped pants looked like a smiley face.  She is so right!!

It looks like a scary person with drool coming out of its mouth, right?!  It was the little things that we needed to smile about today.  Thanks, Christy!  :)

Day Seventy-Three

Have I ever told you how much I like peacocks?  Because I like them a lot.

I found these earrings for like 99% off so I bought 'em!  I've only worn them a few times because they are so heavy, but I still love them.

Day Seventy-Two

I haven't read much Michael Crichton, but I really like this book!  I hope I can finish it tonight or tomorrow.

It is based on 2 of my most favorite subjects:  History & Architecture.  Oh, and time travel....I mean, how fun would it be to travel to whatever century you wanted?!

Any one with me or am I just a big dork??

Day Seventy-One

First off - pardon my feet.  I do not have pretty feet, but I have a question to ask.

Does this green polish make my nails look like they have fungus?  Cause I once had someone tell me "green nail polish makes it look like you have a fungal infection.  Ew."

But I quite like it!  It's dark, so it's not like you can tell it's green from far away.  Eh, I don't care.  I'm gonna wear it anyway!!

Day Seventy

Today was Ryan's 6th birthday party!  We went to the park & had a grand ole time riding bikes, having water balloon fights, and watching the alligator that was way to curious for my liking.

But the kids thought it was just hilarious to throw things in the water at it & giving Aunt Amber a heart attack.  So I busted out my zoom lens so I didn't have to get too close to this nasty, ugly, mean, beady-eyed creature.

Happy birthday party day, Ryan!  It was so much fun!  Especially when you sang happy birthday to yourself.  You make me laugh!
