Day Two Hundred Forty Four
Today was Brenna's Tea Party! What a great time we had! The girls were all so cute dressed up sipping tea or lemonade. They even got to wear big, pink boas for a while! I took a lot of photos, so it was hard to choose. Hopefully I'll get some posted on Facebook soon!
Day Two Hundred Forty Three
One of my dearest friends, Abby, came down to help her little sister move in to Florida College. Oh how I wish we lived close to her & Stephen! Even though we are states apart, she is one of my closet confidants & we can chat on the phone for hours.
Even though we had just one evening together, we still managed to stay up until 1:30 in the morning talking :) Nothing has changed!

Day Two Hundred Forty Two
This just made me laugh. While driving through Chicago I saw this stop sign below a stop light. It made me think of the goofy jokes they used to tell back in the old days :) You know:
"Who's on first."
"I don't know. Who?"
"That's what I just said! Who's on first!"
I could just see a goofy skit with this. I received different answers on what this is for: pedestrians, for when the stop light goes out & they need it to be a stop sign.....I don't know!

Day Two Hundred Forty One
The morning after my birthday I had to get up at 4 a.m so I could catch an early flight to Chicago for work.
As I posted on Facebook, even though it was early I never tire of seeing the sunrise from an airplane. Something so magical about it!

My co-worker, Tom, makes a new drawing for me each month. WELL, he usually does, but he skipped quite a few months before August. But he made it up to me with this awesome drawing!

Day Two Hundred Thirty Nine
We've been eating a lot more avocado's lately. Jeremy has found out that he loves them, which is great! Me? Well, I like them in things (guacamole, salad, etc) but to eat it by itself......shudder. I don't know why I can't just eat a slice, but it makes me want to gag!

Today is Garrett's real birthday. He wanted to go to Cracker Barrel for dinner, so we all met there for his birthday dinner!

I found a recipe for grilled peaches that sounded so amazing I went to the store that night & bought some peaches.
Pumpkin Spice seasoning, cinnamon, coconut milk with vanilla poured oven half a grilled peach....oooohhhh man! That is delightful!!

We have a visitor this week! Oreo is staying with us while Cindy is out of town for work & he's a good boy. If only Balin would leave him alone I'm sure Oreo wouldn't be snapping at him so much!

Today we celebrated Garrett's 10th birthday! The first one to reach double digits. Insane.
He had a pool party with his friends from he neighborhood & church friends. They looked like they had lots of fun! More photos will be posted on Facebook (someday) of the rest of the party.

Mr. Alligator is one of Balin's favorite toys. Why, you ask? Because it squeaks.
He loooooooves anything that squeaks. The louder, the better....or so he thinks. Bring a squeaky ball outside & try to hide it & he'll find it quicker that you can say supercalifragilisticexpealidocious.
This guy is really quiet, so it's not annoying..........
....but he gets a lot of wear - as you can tell from his missing bottom jaw.

We went to the lighting of the bridges in downtown Tampa a couple of weeks before the RNC was held here. They did the lighting of the bridges & then played Wizard of Oz on a big screen in the park. A fun Friday night!

Soon after we moved into the house last year we met a couple that lives one street over who walk their dogs about the same time we walk Balin. One day as Jeremy was walking Balin he passed her house & was chatting with her & asked if I liked to grow plants because she had some cuttings of Cuban Oregano that she wanted to give away. Jeremy took one small cutting & now that plant has almost out-grown its pot!
Very good on top of fish or chicken! Anybody want a cutting of mine so I can split the plant into 2 pots?!
