With all this rain we've been getting there have been mushroom popping up all over the yard over night.  I do not like to eat mushrooms, but I do think they are a unique plant......and they always remind me of Fern Gulley.  

Shouldn't there be a little fairy sitting atop one of these?

Happy Birthday, Millie!

We went to Tim & Stephanie's house to celebrate Millie's birthday tonight.  Good chili & oh so good brownies with Milky Way sauce that Veronica made -YUM!  Brody got to taste some of grandma's ice cream & I think he enjoyed it!

Day One Hundred Seventy Six

First cut roses from my first rose bush!  I am quite proud because my two climbing rose bushes were practically dead so I repotted, re-soiled & fertilized them & they are starting to really bloom!  I've always heard they can be tricky plants so I'm glad I brought them back to life!

Today was the first day in my 29 years of life that I had to help clean out gutters.  Meh.  Wasn't that bad & it actually went by faster than I thought it would!  Glad it is done because it doesn't look like it's going to stop raining any time soon.

Smoothie Day at work today!  We all brought in different ingredients & at 3:00 the blenders started.  Great way to break up a Friday afternoon!

We had a lovely morning at the park with friends from church.  Then we met Mandi & Eric out at West Shore Mall & did some shopping!

Today we took Balin to the dog park (where he was able to play rough with another lab) & then we went to Jeremy's parents house to cool off in the pool.  It was so hot!

I hadn't seen Balin swim in the pool yet, so we had fun tossing his toy in the pool & watching him jump in.  Oh, but it is dangerous swimming with him.  The claw marks on my arm & chest prove it!

It has been so fun going through all these photo boxes with my sisters for our secret project!  So difficult to know which ones to choose to scan.  Can't I just scan all of them?!

Game night at my sisters house!  As we were finishing up playing games, my nephew came over to show us his cursive that he learned this past year in school.   So, naturally, the adults started to compare our "cursive".  Is it sad that the 9 year olds cursive is better?!

Some friends came over tonight & this little munchkin tagged along, too.  While us ladies watched "The Wedding Singer" Indyanna ate her snacks & busted a move to every.single.song that came on the movie.  She must be an 80's girl like her mama!

I am so very thankful for the rain we have been getting lately.  We needed it bad & it seemed like it was always skipping over our house.  Our lawn actually looks like a lawn!

With this rain my few vegetable plants have been growing like crazy!  Just today I noticed these 2 baby peppers.  Aren't they the cutest?

And I counted 15 cherry tomatoes on my one plant!  This sucker needs some more reinforcement because he'll topple over before long.

It's so fun watching how fast things grow in such a short amount of time!

This week we are taking care of my in-laws dog, Snickers.  He is so small compared to Balin!  When we got to the house Snickers had been playing out in the rain & was so cute prancing around in the tall grass!

Tonight was Miss Brenna's graduation from Preschool!  She was so excited that all her family was there to see her.  These expressions of excitement as she looked out in the crowd and spotted everyone were adorable!

While working in yard & garage Saturday Jeremy spotted this little guy on the wall.

I remember being afraid of them when I was little because they sting.  That's just not nice.

Friday evening Megan & I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding on the beach for a couple she knows.  It was a great & difficult experience!  I don't have near the equipment I would need to do something like that, but just to be there & watch a wedding through a photographers eyes was interesting!  Can't wait to see the edited photos!
